Hello, and Welcome to my webpage!
Welcome, students, parents, colleagues, and friends to my class webpage! This is the place where you will find up-to-date information about the goings on in science class. This year I will be teaching four sections of College Preparatory Chemistry and one section of Technical Science. Visit this page frequently, as I will continue to update it with homework assignments, class schedules, and other important information for science class. To learn more about your particular class, follow these links to either CP Chemistry or Technical Science. To contact me with questions or comments, click here. To learn more about me, click here. Overview of the Course
Chemistry is a challenging course designed for college-bound students. A good work ethic, motivation, and consistent effort are requisites for success.
Chemistry focuses on the structural basis of how different particles of matter interact. The main topics of study are: instruments and measurement techniques as well as collecting and interpreting data, atomic structure and its relationship to the chemical and physical behavior of particles, the organization and characteristics of the elements, bonding interactions among particles, structure and behavior of molecules, types of chemical reactions, and quantitative relationships among substances in chemical reactions. Students are expected to work cooperatively and safely in the laboratory and write high quality lab reports designed to show proficiency in the chemistry concepts.
